10 Places to Visit this Bank Holiday Weekend!

Everyone loves a bank holiday, so there is nothing better than an extended weekend to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee! As it is fast approaching, our Technical Assistant, Lauren Thompson, has shared 10 fun local places you can visit to fill that extra day!

  1. Yorkshire Wildlife Park
    Located near Doncaster, this zoo is an amazing day out for all the family, to see lions, tigers and Polar Bears, Oh My!

  2. Bike Rides
    With the weather being as nice as it has been recently, why not take advantage of this and head out on a bike ride? Click here to view some great routes to try in Hull!
  1. Fish Trail in Hull
    If your kids or grandkids love scavenger hunts and trails, why not try the fish trail! Hidden around the streets of Hull are sculptures and prints of Fish for you to find. The map can be downloaded by clicking here!
  2. Make the most of the celebrations in your village!
    Find out if where you live is getting involved, some villages are holding parades, festivals or parties to celebrate the jubilee! Someone will bound to be having a street party!
  3. Burton Constable
    Tucked away in the villages of East Yorkshire, Burton Constable is home to a stately home, as well as plenty of walks and trails to follow. There is even a lovely café to get food and homemade cakes after all that walking!

    Bank holidays can be the perfect excuse to dust down the barbecue and invite friends and family round for good food in the garden!

    Whether you like to go for a walk and explore nature or sit and have a picnic in the sun with friends, Beverley Westwood has plenty of open fields for you to do either one of those! You could even head into Beverley town after and pick from the many delicious restaurants Beverley has to offer!
