Our Team
Our Experienced Team
One of our fundamental values is our belief in a team approach. We invest in our future by developing, motivating and rewarding highly competent and committed people who are the best in their areas of expertise.
We want our clients to feel like they can speak to our whole team, not just their Financial Adviser. View our personal profiles where you will find details of our experience, interests and qualifications.
We are Informed Financial Planning

My career in Financial Services began in 2000 and over this time I have built up a high level of knowledge and experience in all areas of financial planning. I have always found meeting and talking to clients to be what I enjoy the most as I feel I am able to relate to clients of all ages and levels of wealth. The main drive of this is being able to take an independent view of a clients’ situation and use my expertise to determine how to help meet the identified goals. The best moments are when we help a client to retire early, spend extra money on holidays or maybe help out their children when they thought they didn’t have the means to do so.
One of my favourite experiences has been learning to ski over the last few years. It has opened up a new world of holidays which hopefully I can enjoy with my family for years to come. I also enjoy the occasional round of golf but still don’t classify myself as a “golfer” on account of my lack of ability, however this is something I am looking to change when time permits.

I have been providing financial advice since 2003 and I still get a thrill from enhancing our clients financial position and taking the burden off their shoulders. It’s great to be able to simplify matters that can often be a complete minefield for many people!
One of the best things I have ever done is skydiving just outside Las Vegas! I’m also very into sports; I run regularly, play football and watch my favourite teams in both Football and Rugby League (Stoke City and Leeds Rhinos).

Starting in 2011 after graduating from University, my favourite part of my job is taking away our clients’ stress. They work hard to build up their wealth and shouldn’t have to work hard deciding the best way to spend it!
I always look to build up strong relationships with my clients and love seeing the plans we put in place work out, whilst being there to help should circumstances change. I am a Fellow of the PFS demonstrating a high level of qualification, so you know your finances are in safe hands.
Some of my hobbies are playing Rugby Union and Golf, but I am generally interested in most sports and try to keep active as much as I can.
My favourite memory was getting promotion into National League 1 with my Rugby Union team, Hull Ionians. We won 28 out 0f 30 league games and won the league that year!

Chartered Financial Planner

I started my career at Informed Financial Planning in 2015 straight after graduating from University. I love helping individuals plan their finances because it can be such a daunting experience. We make a real difference to people’s lives by helping them achieve their preferred retirement date, leave a legacy for their family and plan around IHT liabilities.
I love that our team stands out by instilling trust and confidence in the clients we work with, in an industry that has had a dubious reputation from historic scandals. Clients can rely on us to be there when this change or concern them and we are always friendly and approachable.
My favourite memory is from my honeymoon when I sent my new wife down the tallest waterslide in a waterpark (before me, of course). When I met her at the bottom, her face suggested I was in for one of the fastest divorces ever! I am glad to say we patched things up over the rest of the holiday and are in fact still married.
In my spare time I enjoy taking time out with my wife, usually involving eating, drinking and walking the dog out in the country. The dog walking is meant to burn off calories, but as this normally takes place walking close to several pubs, this rarely achieves its purpose!

I am fully accredited with the Society of Later Life Advisers, specialising in later life advice including retirement planning, care fees planning, and estate wealth management.
In my spare time I enjoy gigs and festivals, and I am always finding new hobbies and interests. I also enjoy travelling, and in my mid 20s I spent a few months backpacking the East Coast of Australia, which will be the memory of a lifetime.

My Financial Services career began in 2013 and my role entails overseeing our work with regards to The Fair Treatment of Customers. My favourite part about working for Informed Financial Planning is all of the awards we win!
My favourite memory would be either Informed Financial Planning winning Money Marketing’s “UK Adviser Firm of the Year 2018” or arriving by boat to our hotel on a holiday to India. In my spare time I enjoy reading, playing piano, painting, skiing, learning new languages and watching Hull KR!

I joined Informed Financial Planning in November 2015 as our Practice Manager, a newly created role to meet the demands of our ever expanding business, although I have worked in the financial services industry for over 10 years. Prior to working for Informed Financial Planning, I gained management experience in various roles from education, local government, manufacturing and retail.
Out of the office I enjoy spending time with friends and family travelling and eating good food.

Starting at IFP in 2016, I am responsible for the management of our income and expenditure and all financial reporting. I am also Head of Operations overseeing Client Services and HR and am a member of the Senior leadership Team, sharing responsibility for the overall management of the company. I love the diversity within my role, being involved in so many different areas to help drive the company forward. The most challenging part of my role is to stay as knowledgeable as my team as they are constantly learning more and passing exams to prove it! But, as Steve Jobs said, “we don’t hire smart people and tell them what to do, we hire smart people so they can tell us what to do”.

Head of Finance & Operations

My career began in 2010 when I joined IFP at age 18. Over a decade later, I am now a member of the Senior Leadership Team and responsible for running the business on a day-to-day basis. I oversee the Financial Planners and Marketing Department, with my role specifically focused on developing and implementing future strategies. In 2020, I was awarded Yorkshire’s ‘Rising Star of the Year’ at the Yorkshire Financial Awards, as well as being named in the Hull & Humber Top 30 Under 30. My role involves a great deal of creativity which suits my personality down to a tee. I love how every day is different and I genuinely learn something new each day.
In my spare time, I blog about dementia (somewhat different to my everyday job!). In 2018, my mum was diagnosed with a rare form of dementia called FTD (Frontotemporal Dementia). It’s been my mission ever since to raise awareness and help others in a similar situation. I dedicate lots of time towards research and take part in the ‘GENFI’ study held at UCL’s Dementia Research Centre. This is something that has become a passion of mine over recent years, and I hope to contribute to the fight against dementia in the future.

I started work in the Financial Services industry in 2015. My role can be very fast-paced and challenging but I love how varied it is, dealing with everything from assisting with the day to day running of the office to recruitment, project management and HR processes.
My favourite memory was when I went to Las Vegas for my 30th Birthday. The staff here put a collection together to pay for me to jump from the top of the Stratosphere hotel as a surprise – and now I’ve caught the daredevil bug and want to do a sky dive!
I am also interested in house renovations (not that I have completed one yet!). I follow tonnes of Instagram accounts to help me get ideas for my own home. I’m also a sucker for a Primark haul – I love finding little gems and making it a bit pricier!

My Financial Services career started in 2019 when I became responsible for the management of the Administration team. The best thing about working here is the incredibly supportive team around me and the attitude towards continued professional development. Coming from an Educational & Training background it is great to see that our staff are always looking to improve their knowledge.
Outside of work, my best times come on my annual holidays with my closest friends. These are really important to me as it is the only time of the year I get to just be me and not have to worry about mum and wife duties!

In my spare time I enjoy football (I’m a big Liverpool fan) and going out with friends. My favourite memory was a holiday to Malia, when my youngest brother thought he could keep up drinking with the rest of us. He soon fell asleep on a sun lounger and came back to the room red raw!

I joined Informed Financial Planning in 2017 straight from University, and I love the problem solving aspect of our work. As a Paraplanner I am given the opportunity to think outside the box and come up with alternative solutions to challenges.
One of my favourite memories was visiting Prague in 2016. As a die hard history nerd I loved all the museums and I would highly recommend it as there is so much to do and see! Outside of work I enjoy experimenting with new make-up styles – I tend to get my inspiration from YouTube videos and then adapt them into my own style – and Yoga, which is a new-ish hobby for me. My boldest move so far is an assisted headstand! I am also a scout leader and I find it so rewarding to see how much the kids get out of this.

I began my journey in Compliance in 2017, ensuring all departments are working in line with the latest rules and regulations. I find it very rewarding that my work is not just limited to one area of the business as we assist everyone from the Advisers and Paraplanners right through to the Marketing team!
My favourite memory would be when I got the chance to drive a Formula 2 car around a track near Oxford. I’m hardly an adrenaline junkie so this definitely brought me out of my comfort zone. Some say I set a new track record… My sister would have you believe I drove at 30mph all the way round. I’ll let you decide which is true. I love going to gigs when I can, typically with my brother whenever we get the chance.

Rules and regulations are always changing and it’s up to us as the Compliance Team to set the bar high so that the quality of our service continues to be something that makes IFP stand out!
My favourite memory has to be the day I went to pick up my first puppy, Hector. He has grown so much since we first brought him home and he already weighs an incredible 40kg! I’d love to say he’s a gentle giant, but he really isn’t!

This role allows me to show my creative side, and there is nothing I like more than a challenge!

In my spare time I love following football (Hull City fan), going to the gym, and going out for a drink with my friends. One of my favourite memories has to be watching the World Cup in 2018. My favourite memory in life would be the experience I had singing at the O2 arena with the organisation Voice In A Million! I switched careers from retail to financial services in December 2019 and joined IFP in September 2020, which has presented a few challenges with working remotely but the team are so supportive, and they have helped me feel so comfortable in my role despite being apart from each other!
Outside of work I enjoy doing anything that lets me get a little bit creative. Recently I’ve taken up learning how to create my own digital drawings! I also love collecting and reading books, although it is getting a little bit out of control, and they are taking over my house now! If I’m not inside reading, I’m usually out exploring new places with my boyfriend and dog.

I joined Informed Financial Planning in April 2017, working on the Reviews Team before switching roles and becoming a Client Services Executive in January 2019. I would class myself as somewhat of a ‘control freak’ and I like to be organised, so this job role is perfect for me as I can make sure that our clients always get the experience they deserve.
Outside of work I am often kept busy with my two daughters and their increasing number of after school activities, but I do like to spend time making memories with days out and trips away with family and friends, and if there’s a glass of wine or two included then it’s even better!

I have worked in financial services for a number of year from Debt Recovery Agencies, to Mortgage and Insurance brokers.
I joined IFP in 2020 about three weeks before the National Lockdown started which presented more challenges of being trained remotely, but everyone was incredible supportive and I can honestly say this is a fantastic company to work for.
Outside of work I have 3 young children who definitely keep their old man on his toes. I also enjoy watching Tottenham Hotspur (I say enjoying?), and golf. My goal for the year is to get back playing these sports.
Jamie Cross
Client Services Administrator

I switched career paths in 2018, where I had originally worked as a carer but decided to take the plunge and enrol at college to gain my AAT qualifications, knowing that I wanted to pursue a career in finance industry. My financial services career started at IFP in 2019, when I initially joined in a temporary position. I was later given the opportunity to become a permanent member of staff in July 2020, and I haven’t looked back since!
When I’m not spending time with my partner and two young children, I love having friends over for pizza nights.
