Head of Compliance & Operations

Sarah Williams

Starting in 2016, I am responsible for the management of our income and expenditure and all financial reporting. I also manage our Paraplanning team and am a member of the Senior leadership Team, sharing responsibility for the overall management of the company. I love the diversity within my role, being involved in so many different areas to help drive the company forward. The most challenging part of my role is to stay as knowledgeable as my team as they are constantly learning more and passing exams to prove it! But, as Steve Jobs said, “we don’t hire smart people and tell them what to do, we hire smart people so they can tell us what to do”.

My favourite moment was surprising my husband and our children with a holiday for his 40th birthday. I set up a treasure hunt around the house ending at a ready to pack suitcase. The look of surprise and excitement on their faces was brilliant and the holiday was as fantastic as I’d hoped! Outside of work, after an over-indulgent summer I am determined to get back into the habit of exercising. I recently started yoga classes with Rachel (Paraplanner) and am going to start Kettlercise soon. With a young family there’s not a lot of time left for hobbies, but I can always squeeze in a glass or two of Rose on the weekend!

Jessica Crawford

My career began in 2010 and I now manage all of our Financial Planners whilst also being Head of Marketing and a member of the Senior Leadership Team, who are responsible for the running of the business day-to-day. This includes the development and implementation of our Strategic Business Plan. My role involves a great deal of creativity which suits my personality down to a tee. I love how every day is different and I genuinely learn something new each day.

My favourite time in my life was when I visited Thailand for my honeymoon. It was incredibly eye opening and it was the first time I had ever witnessed such a different culture. The people there were also the friendliest and most helpful people I’ve ever met. In my spare time I am a self-admitted ‘fadder’. One hobby never sticks and I am always trying different activities in the hope to find ‘the one’. Past hobbies have included cheerleading, dancing and (unsuccessfully) attempting rollerblading, but my next challenge is rock climbing! Fingers crossed…

Samantha Sharp

I started work in the Financial Services industry in 2015. My role can be very fast-paced and challenging but I love how varied it is, dealing with everything from assisting with the day to day running of the office to recruitment, project management and HR processes.

My favourite memory was when I went to Las Vegas for my 30th Birthday. The staff here put a collection together to pay for me to jump from the top of the Stratosphere hotel as a surprise – and now I’ve caught the daredevil bug and want to do a sky dive!

I am also interested in house renovations (not that I have completed one yet!). I follow tonnes of Instagram accounts to help me get ideas for my own home. I’m also a sucker for a Primark haul – I love finding little gems and making it a bit pricier!

Suzie Zaidky

My Financial Services career started in 2019 when I became responsible for the management of the Administration team. The best thing about working here the is incredibly supportive team around me and the attitude towards continued professional development. Coming from an Educational & Training background is it great to see that our staff are always looking to improve their knowledge.

Outside of work, my best times come on my annual holidays with my closest friends. These are really important to me as it is the only time of the year I get to just be me and not have to worry about mum and wife duties!

Gregg Crawford

My career in Financial Services began in 2000 and I have always found meeting and talking to clients to be what I enjoy the most as I feel I am able to relate to clients of all ages and levels of wealth. The main drive of this is being able to take an independent view of their situation and use my knowledge to determine how they can meet their goals. The best moments are when we help a client to retire early, spend extra money on holidays or helping their children when they thought they didn’t have the means to do so.

One of my favourite experiences has been learning to ski over the last few years. It has opened up a new world of holidays which hopefully I can enjoy with my family for the years to come. I also enjoy the occasional round of golf. I don’t classify myself as a “golfer” yet on account of my lack of ability, however this is something I am looking to change!

I have been working in Financial Services since 1981 and as such have a wealth of knowledge and experience in the field. I like to communicate the complex areas of financial planning in a language clients can understand and ensure they fully realise the added value we can bring to their situation. The most satisfying aspect of this role is seeing the difference we can make to their lives!

One of my favourite memories has got to be when I proposed to my wife at the top of the highest mountain in England, Scafell Pike. I think she was worried I might leave her there if she had said no! I enjoy travelling and am always planning the next weekend away in our touring caravan. I’ve always have a passion for the great outdoors and am a keen walker and mountain biker. I also frequently attend music concerts, theatre, cinema and comedy nights.

Starting in 2011 after graduating from University, my favourite part of my job is taking away our clients’ stress. They work hard to build up their wealth and shouldn’t have to work hard deciding the best way to spend it!

I always look to build up strong relationships with my clients and love seeing the plans we put in place work out, whilst being there to help should circumstances change. I am a Fellow of the PFS demonstrating a high level of qualification, so you know your finances are in safe hands.

Some of my hobbies are playing Rugby Union and Golf, but I am generally interested in most sports and try to keep active as much as I can.

My favourite memory was getting promotion into National League 1 with my Rugby Union team, Hull Ionians. We won 28 out 0f 30 league games and won the league that year!

I started my career at Informed Financial Planning in 2015 straight after graduating from University. I love helping individuals plan their finances because it can be such a daunting experience. We make a real difference to people’s lives by helping them achieve their preferred retirement date, leave a legacy for their family and plan around IHT liabilities.

I love that our team stands out by instilling trust and confidence in the clients we work with, in an industry that has had a dubious reputation from historic scandals. Clients can rely on us to be there when this change or concern them and we are always friendly and approachable.

My favourite memory is from my honeymoon when I sent my new wife down the tallest waterslide in a waterpark (before me, of course). When I met her at the bottom, her face suggested I was in for one of the fastest divorces ever! I am glad to say we patched things up over the rest of the holiday and are in fact still married.

In my spare time I enjoy taking time out with my wife, usually involving eating, drinking and walking the dog out in the country. The dog walking is meant to burn off calories, but as this normally takes place walking close to several pubs, this rarely achieves its purpose!

I started my financial services career in 2009 and love making a real difference to our client’s future, for example making someone’s retirement dreams a reality. I make financial advice accessible to all, explaining things in an easy to understand way while still bringing the expertise and knowledge our clients require.

My favourite memory came when I was backpacking in Australia and was invited to a beach party. There was a huge bonfire where people were relaxing, chatting and having a drink with a guy playing an acoustic guitar. It was very cliché but it felt like something from a film and we made some real friends that night! In my spare time I enjoy gigs and festivals am always finding new hobbies (admittedly, my favourite phrase is “it’s not a fad, it’s a short term passion”). I am currently enjoying bouldering and resistant and weight training.

I joined Informed Financial Planning in 2017 straight from University, and I love problem solving aspect of our work. As a Paraplanner I am given the opportunity to think outside the box and come up with alternative solutions to challenges.

One of my favourite memories was visiting Prague in 2016. As a die hard history nerd I loved all the museums and I would highly recommend it as there it so much to do and see! Outside of work I enjoy experimenting with new make-up styles – I tend to get my inspiration from youtube videos and then adapt them into my own style – and Yoga, which is a new-ish hobby for me. I started my Financial Services career in 2017 after completing my A-levels. I assist the advisers and paraplanners on any technical queries they may have. I really enjoy the research aspect of my role and there’s nothing I like more than a challenge!

My favourite memories are my skiing holidays, as they’re so different to your bog standard summer holiday or city break – although I do love to sit by a pool and do nothing for a week! My best holiday was in La Thuile in Italy where we skied over the border to France (pretty cool) to find the only difference was the price of beer.

In my spare time I am also a cheerleader with Imperial Storm and am interested in gin and fashion. Shopping counts as a hobby, right?

I began in the financial services industry in September 2019 and I really enjoy working within such a very supportive team who are always happy to help out.

One of my favourite memories is going to Radio 1’s Big Weekend with my friends when it came to Burton Constable in 2017, getting to so many amazing acts perform. I find it very rewarding that my work is not just limited to one area of the business as we assist everyone from the Advisers and Paraplanners right through to the Marketing team!

My favourite memory would be when I got the chance to drive a Formula 2 car around a track near Oxford. I’m hardly an adrenaline junkie so this definitely brought me out of my comfort zone. Some say I set a new track record… My sister would have you believe I drove at 30mph all the way round. I’ll let you decide which is true. As Charlene Coulbeck’s PA, my role involves pre-sale administration, daily adviser support and client communication. Starting in 2018, I love the camaraderie at Informed Financial Planning. Everyone is incredibly helpful and friendly. One thing that really makes our organisation different is that all the staff want to do their best for our clients, but we still try to have a bit of fun as well!

One of my favourite memories is the first night I moved away from home at 18. I’ll never forget the feeling of freedom and slight trepidation as I began my new independent life, not quite knowing what was ahead of me.

I love city breaks and travelling with my family, checking out the food and taking in some of the shopping and culture. I’m also a massive fan of cooking and eating (with a nice glass of something to go with it, of course) and the number one love of my life is Prince. He has provided the music to accompany my life and he will be with me until my last breath.

My career in Financial Services started in 2014 and I love my role interacting with clients and seeing them through the whole client journey – I like the sense of a job well done!

My favourite memory is singing “Party in the USA” by Miley Cyrus on my first night walking down the Las Vegas strip. I love music, I’m often found at home dancing around my house or seeing local bands around Hull (my favourite is The Avenues!).

Family and friends are so important to me and I enjoy socialising with them over weekends away, pub grub or country walks. I’m not one for exercising, unless Saturday nights on the dancefloor count, but walking is something I really love doing. I also like walking alone to enjoy the peace and quiet and explore local spots sprinkled with quirky café’s and pubs. And who am I to deny local business trade? I’ll take a White Zinfandel and a slice of Lemon Drizzle please!
