What To Bring To Your First Meeting

Your first meeting with us is a big step toward securing your financial future, but don’t worry, we like to keep things straightforward.

Maybe you’re looking for retirement advice, investment guidance, or just a fresh look at your finances. Whatever your situation, this first session is all about getting a clear picture of where you are and where you’d like to be.

To make the most of our time together, a little prep goes a long way!

The better we understand your finances, the better we can tailor our advice to you and your situation.

That’s why we ask you to bring along a few key documents that will help us get to know and support you a little better.

Here’s a super handy checklist of all the things you need to bring with you:

1. Identification (ID)

A passport or driver’s license is usually best. This helps us verify your identity and get things started smoothly.

2. Policy Documents

If you have life insurance, pensions, or investment policies, bring those along. They provide valuable insights into your existing financial plans.

3. State Pension Forecast

Your state pension forecast gives us a clearer idea of your retirement outlook. You can get this from the UK government’s website or the HMRC app if you haven’t already.

4. Expenditure Breakdown

A rough estimate of your monthly income and expenses helps us understand your cash flow and where we can optimise your finances.

5. Goals For the Future

Your financial plan isn’t just about numbers, it’s about building the life you want.

So, before we meet, take a moment to reflect on your future goals. Here are a few questions to get you started:

  • What’s on your bucket list for the future? Dream big! Whether it’s traveling the world, buying a holiday home, or setting up a business, we want to help make it happen.
  • What sort of relationship do you have with money? Do you see it as security, freedom, or something else entirely? Understanding this can help shape a financial plan that truly fits you.
  • What does being financially comfortable mean to you? Is it having enough to retire early? Knowing you can support your family? Everyone is different and we want to make sure your plan is unique to you.

The session isn’t just an opportunity for us to get to know you – it’s a two-way street. We want to make sure you leave feeling heard, understood, and clear on who we are and how we can help. If you have any questions, feel free to bring them along.

With these documents at hand, you’ll have everything we need for the session. If there are any issues with documentation or you have any questions or queries prior to the meeting, feel free to reach out to us on 01482 219325.

We can’t wait to get started!
