- The latest tax and legislative changes – what’s new, what’s coming, and what’s relevant
- Why recent government decisions matter for business owners’ planning and decision-making
12:45 – Session 2 (30m): Protecting What You’re Building – Safeguarding Your Business and Its People. Topics include:
- What happens if you lose a key individual and how key person insurance can protect cashflow and continuity
- Protecting owership and control if a shareholder dies or becomes critically ill
- Ensuring families are financially supported without putting strain on the business
- How the right protection strategies support long-term planning, not just crisis management

14:00 – Session 3 (45m): Turning Business Success into Personal Financial Security. Topics include:

- Using dividend extraction strategically to invest in VCTs
- Making tax-efficient decisions while profits are strong
- Aligning profit extraction with future exit and lifestyle goals
14:45 – Session 4 (45m): Life After Exit – Turning Sale Proceeds into Sustainable Retirement. Topics include:
- How selling your business changes your inheritance tax position
- Creating a reliable retirement strategy once business income stops
- Managing and investing sale proceeds efficiently
- Structuring wealth to meet retirement goals while mitigating future tax liabilities
